011 Big Bass Drum Storyworld Grandmamma finds that the children have gifted her a big bass drum. After she bumps into it and gives chase as it rolls down a hill (luckily, she catches up to it), she instinctively bangs on it with her hand, but just then, the children blow in a pair of beaters for her to bang on the drum on. Marching and drumming away, Grandmamma attracts quite a parade: Brother, Sister, Mrs. Lady, Mr. Man, and Grandpappa (and even Little Dog Fido gets in on the action for a bit!). Marching up a big hill, the Storypeople take a tumble, but Grandmamma has another idea: they can move to the beat sitting down as she drums!
Boohbah Dance Back in the Boohzone, the Boohbahs do some marching of their own as they perform a dance full of magical marching moves.

Trivia[]

  • This episode's Storyworld segment was shot on 18 May, 2002.
  • This is the first time in which Little Dog Fido is in an episode, but Dash, the dog who "played" him, goes uncredited. The second time would be in "Necklace" and the third time would be in "Space Rocket".
  • This is the first episode to feature the "Star Jump" warm-up (which is the most prominent warm-up in the series, appearing in seven episodes) & the "Marching & Fall Down" dance.
  • Auntie is the only Storyperson absent from this episode.
  • The "somebody's coming" music does not play again for when the other Storypeople arrive.
  • Grandmamma's drum & beaters return again in "Musical Instruments".
  • This is the second (known) US episode where the "Bouncing" and "Lying Down and Standing Up" dances are excerpted at the end; this also happens in "Pearly Shells".
